Complete Kitchen Remodeling for Truro Homes
Pamet Valley, Corn Hill, Beach Point and the highlands — kitchens for houses that sit empty half the year.
Truro is the emptiest town on the Outer Cape and the one where the landscape does the most to the architecture. Cape Cod National Seashore holds a large share of the land, the Pamet Valley cuts the town in half, and houses sit scattered along the highlands, down at Corn Hill and Fisher Beach, out along Beach Point in North Truro, and tucked into the hollows off Route 6. It is also home to a remarkable concentration of mid-century modern houses — the experimental work by architects like Marcel Breuer, Serge Chermayeff and Jack Hall that the Cape Cod Modern House Trust has spent years documenting and restoring.
That mix means Truro kitchens run from a 1940s summer cottage with a two-burner stove to a flat-roofed modernist house with a wall of glass facing the bay. On Cape Kitchens has worked on both, and everything in between, over more than 30 years on the Lower Cape. Our showroom is in North Eastham, about twenty minutes down Route 6.
