Bathroom Vanity Sales & Installation for Chatham

On Cape Kitchens has been supplying Chatham homeowners with quality bathroom vanities for more than 30 years. Our North Eastham showroom keeps JSI, U.S. Cabinet Depot, and Forevermark vanities on display in a range of styles, widths, and finishes, including the premium door styles and finishes Chatham projects typically call for.

As a Massachusetts licensed and insured contractor (Construction Supervisor License #CS62739, Home Improvement Contractor License #177590), owner Vern Hatt works personally with every Chatham client to match a vanity to the room's real dimensions, storage needs, style, and budget. The vanity is usually the first thing anyone notices in a bathroom, and getting the proportions right matters more than the price tag.

Whether the project is a powder room in a Main Street antique, a guest bath in a Chatham Port home, or double vanities in a master suite overlooking Pleasant Bay or Stage Harbor, we carry sizes from 24 inches through 72 inches and install throughout Chatham.

What Chatham Bathrooms Ask For

Chatham holds its buildings to a high standard and the interiors generally follow. Projects here lean toward traditional and transitional door styles, painted finishes rather than stains, upgraded hardware, and stone countertops — details that read as considered rather than builder-grade. The town's antique housing along Main Street and out toward Chatham Port brings the usual older-home complications: out-of-square walls, retrofitted plumbing, and bathrooms that were carved out of bedrooms. Waterfront properties on Pleasant Bay, Stage Harbor, and the Oyster Pond area see meaningful salt exposure, which makes plywood construction and quality hardware finishes a practical decision rather than a luxury.

🏡 Building an ADU in Chatham?

Chatham has been working through accessory dwelling unit permitting alongside the rest of the Cape, and every ADU needs a bathroom — usually a compact one where a well-chosen 24-inch or 30-inch vanity decides whether the room feels livable. Our sister company, Lower Cape ADU, handles ADU design and construction across the Lower Cape, and we supply and install the vanities.

Chatham Bathroom Vanity Questions

What separates a premium vanity from a budget one?

Box material and joinery, drawer glide quality, door and drawer front construction, and finish durability. A plywood box with dovetailed drawers and quality soft-close hardware will look and operate the same in fifteen years. A particleboard box with stapled drawers will not. The difference is visible in the showroom once you know what to look at.

Do I need a permit to replace a vanity in Chatham?

A straight swap that reuses the existing plumbing locations generally does not require a building permit, though a plumbing permit may apply. Moving supply or drain lines, altering walls, or changing electrical does require permitting through the Chatham Building Department. We handle permitting on projects we install.

Can you match a vanity to existing millwork in an older Chatham home?

Often, yes. We can select door profiles and finishes that sit comfortably with existing trim, and where a close match matters, custom finishing is available. We will be honest with you if an exact match is not achievable.

Need a Complete Bathroom Remodel?

A vanity is often the start of a larger project. We also handle full bathroom remodels in Chatham — tile, fixtures, plumbing, electrical, and lighting — as a single licensed contractor rather than a string of subs you have to coordinate yourself.
