Design Services for Orleans Homeowners
Orleans is ten minutes south of our North Eastham showroom, and it has been steady territory for us for three decades. We have designed kitchens and baths in East Orleans and out toward Nauset Beach, along Tonset Road and Barley Neck, near Rock Harbor and Skaket, and through the neighborhoods around Pleasant Bay and Namequoit.
Orleans has a higher share of substantial year-round homes than the towns north of it, and that changes the typical project. Where an Outer Cape job is often about making a small kitchen work harder, an Orleans job is more often about reorganizing a large one: taking down the wall between a closed kitchen and a dining room, working out how an island functions once the room is open, and figuring out where the second sink, the beverage refrigerator, and the landing zone by the back door actually belong.
Because so many Orleans houses are used year-round, the design brief tends to be practical: real pantry storage, a mudroom or drop zone that works in February, appliance capacity for holidays, and a primary bath that functions every day rather than just looking good.
